I was about to purchase neodymium magnets on Amazon when I noticed an alert that said "Magnetic Material Is Regulated For Air Transport" I tried looking on the FAA and TSA sites and I am not sure how strong these little 1/4" x 1/16" magnets are.

First of all, will this size work for my printed and laminated door magnets?

And will the TSA confiscate all my door decorations?

I would assume no since people use these for door decor all the time, but I want to check before I go to all that effort.

FWIW, We are flying domestic San Diego to Miami.

I'd just pack them in my checked bags. Should be no problem.

Whoa, I didn't even think about that. I guess I'm going to be putting them in a check-in bag as well

Tell the truth, the first cruise I did magnets on, I had so many I was worried about this same issue. I just split them all up between checked and carry on bags, and had no problems whatsoever.

I will probably do that too! This little project that has turned in to a serious habit is not cheap! Haha. I would be so sad if they all got confiscated after all the hard work and money I have put in to them. We are sailing on Wonder through the canal, so I want them to last the whole 14 days!
