Flying with kids on Spirit - showing ID?

Hi,

Okay so I've never flown with my kids before. We leave next week for WDW and I'm wondering if I will need to show any ID for them? Obviously obtaining passports are out at this point! I may be able to get their school ID's and bring them along with their birth certificates but beyond that, we got nothin!

I tried checking with the airline but it only specifies that adults (over 18) need to provide ID. Has this been the case with everyone? Guess I just need some piece of mind!

Children, under 18, not traveling alone, DO NOT need ID to get onto an airplane. That's the TSA rule and 99.99999% it is followed. My DS was asked for his last trip at EWR (but not MCO), and I just told the TSA agent that he was only 15, and that's all it took.

I read it on their website but I'm a worry wart. I may make a copy of their birth certs, just incase!

the ONLY time a child needs a birth certificate to travel is when they are on a special age dependent fare for the airline. And then it is only for the airline according to security they never need an ID to travel. And those fares are the under 2 free lap baby and a special child fare that rarely is used,booked specially thru the airline.

To go thru security a child does not need any ID.
