flying with delta - how much luggage?

we're going to be flying indirect with delta this time via atlanta.
does anyone know how much luggage we can take?

2 x 23kilos per person is allowed for transatlantic passengers. This is also valid for the flight between Atlanta and Orlando.

cool, so its pretty much the same as BA and virgin then.
only just remembered about luggage allowance about half hour ago, and am going to book it tomorrow! good thing i remembered and good thing they've got a decent allowance or we'd have been stuck!

i had a look on deltas website and i think it was something along the lines of 70lb going internationally, but the connecting flight was 50lb. so i'm sticking to the 50lb just to be on the safe side. its still the same allowance as BA or virgin anyway.

Yes. 50lb is 23kg, but Virgin allow 2 bags at 23kg each person, so 46kg. I am wondering if, as it is on ongoing journey if they allow you the 70kg for the whole journey?

i think its 2 pieces, each with a maximum weight of 50lbs. so you get 2x23kg

Sorry i'm really confused - is it 23kg per person? When are you flying as we're doing the same flight 20 Aug?

Its 2 x 23 kilos per person, therefore 46 kilos each.

This is allowed for the transatlantic and connecting flight within US to final destination.

If you only booked a flight within US only then you do not get this allowance.
