We have never had a problem with liquids for babys and have take whole 2 litre bottles of milk (as we were travelling 26 hours and I was worried about being able to get full fat milk in the airports our DD always wanted more bottles for comfort and take off/landing during flights) they just put the bottle/baby bottles in a machine that checked them never opened it or anything, I found the people I dealt with pretty good, one guy told me if anyone else hassled us just to request a manager.
). We had an early morning flight, so he slept on the way to the airport and didn't wake up until we were walking into the airport. Of course, he immediately wanted his sippy cup with apple juice in it. As we were in line for security a TSA agent saw him drinking from it and came back to tell us we would have to pour it out before we went through. I told him I thought juice was allowed for toddlers and obviously nothing bad was in it, since he was drinking it. He said liquids were only allowed through for infants, not toddlers. This was at DFW airport in Dallas. Our very sleepy, thirsty grandson was not happy when we had to pour his apple juice out.
