Flying with a baby next week

When you are flying, you have no idea who is around you and you are stuck in a confined place. Personally, I would never fly with an infant in a plane when there is a flu epidemic. You can't leave the plane if someone around you starts coughing a lot during the flight. It's not a risk I would take. My 14 year old son is home from school with the flu (he had the flu shot), it is a bad flu and he is just laying in bed very lethargic. Not worth a trip going in a plane, IMO.

I would take Lysol wipes and scrub down the seat and try arms any where your child can touch. i would take hand sanitizer use offten and face masks and offer them to anyone coughing. Also take your own blanket and possibly cover their face while sleeping. please remember you will be in Disney world and more then likely have a bigger risk of picking it up there. Just do what you can and try and enjoy your trip.

Not to be mean or harsh, but the SAME precautions you should be taking daily. Do what you normally do to keep the risk down. Flu virus can live on a hard surface for up to 24 hours. Just keep disinfectant wipes with you and wipe down EVERYTHING !!!! Have a FANTASTIC trip. I hope all goes well. :goodvibes
