Hi there we're due to fly with Virgin to Orlando in just over 2 weeks now....so exciting! :woohoo:

Just wondered what the headphones are like on board, are they inner ear or over the ear ones?

Also i've heard the kids get a goody bag, does anyone know what's in it?

Thanks :)

headphones are over the ear. The bag itself is very good - like an old fashioned satchel shape but more for older kids than toddlers imho - they would never carry it. The contents are rubbish though. A little cap, a little comic book, some sweets. Can't think there is anything else inside.

Thanks for the reply. :thumbsup2

Good to know they are over the ear ones, not that l think my DD will use them much but good to know.
Also travelling with my niece and nephew so they will probably benefit from the bag more :)

We flew Virgin Atlantic last summer to Kenya and the kids (aged 4 & 7 then) were given a goody bag.

The contents were rubbish. They had a cap, a puzzle book, a reading book, one of those pencil/crayons where you can change the colours, a bag of sweets and I think that was about it.

Both the puzzle and reading book were far too hard for my 4 year old.

I was hoping for better flying to America this year but obviously not!

I'd already packed a bag for them each with things to do and will again this year.

Hope you enjoy your trip.

If you have a seat for the toddler you will get a bag but im not sure if they are on you lap you get one, im not expecting one for our girls in oct

orangetiggs is right - only children with a seat get a bag. DD liked the hat and sweets though :thumbsup2

As well as the unexciting things mentioned in the k-id bags there was also a rubber red bracelet type digital watch - nothing fancy but our DD3 was very pleased with it last year even though she couldn't tell the time!

We travelled with our daughter and niece who were aged 3 1/2 and 15 months old. Our niece was kept happy with her portable dvd player and a good selection of her favourite programs, for DD we had plenty of cheap pocket money toys that we produced throughout the flight for her - that and the fascination with her folding meal tray kept her occupied

Children in laps also get a bag well we did when we flew in July, my GD was sitting on my DD1 lap and still got one. It may have been a msitake on them given her it.

Thank you all for the replies.

DD will have her own seat, although l'm not sure how much time she'll actually spend sitting in it! She has just turned 2 and already has a bit of a thing for bags, so if she does get a goody bag l'm sure she'll just be happy to just empty it all out and put it back in again :rotfl:

Have got her a little trolley type bag for her to drag around the airport, and plan to fill that with new toys, colouring bits and books for her. I've heard some people wrap the bits up but undecided about that at the moment.

The more things to keep her entertained the better! :thumbsup2

Am I the only one that read the post subject and wondered how that was possible :) :)
