Next year we are planning on going to see my husbands family. We usually fly into San Francisco. This year we are thinking of flying to Las Vegas as my MIL lives in St. George Utah which is not too far over the border from LV. We are then going to drive to Southern California. We have never flown into LV before, so could anybody who has done this flight please let me know who you flew with, and where the best place is to book flights, and any other advice that may be pertinent.

TIA,
Catherine

Hi there, cant really help much with your posting, but were off to vegas in may, were flying with Virgin(direct), they seem to have a good price at present.

Hi

I've been to Las Vegas a few times but have only flown in once and that was with American Airlines via Chicago, which was fine. We actually flew from Las Vegas down to Orlando for the second part of our holiday and then back to London. The cost for everything was around £300 including tax, booked with Trailfinders. They key thing was that it was November and a cheap time to fly.

As Jules says, Virgin fly direct so that's obviously worth investigating.

Flying in to Las Vegas is amazing since the hotels on The Strip are so huge and the airport so close you get a really good look at them.

We've toured southern California a few times so if you have any questions, fire away, although with a MIL already in the US I'm sure you'll have every angle covered.

Thanks guys for the info. I'll have a look at prices for Virgin Direct. I have never heard of Trailfinders, But that sounds like a really good price for those flights, plus I like AA.

Pootle I am sure that Las Vegas looks pretty incredible from the sky, I think that it looks awesome from the ground!! Thanks for the offer of advice, but like you say we have it covered BIL lives in Southern California and FIL lives in Northern California.
