Flying to Sanford vs MCO. . .

Does anyone have a ballpark cost for town car service (we've used about all of them in the past) from Sanford to WDW (MK Resort area). I'm trying to determine whether it makes sense to use TMA for a trip or if the lower cost will be absorbed by paying for a car service.

After just checking rates for our area (anywhere from $256 to $400+), those TMA flights at $154.10 total are looking very attractive. Heck, even Spirit was $300! I'm still eagerly awaiting a review from someone on TMA flights.

Any ideas on the original ? or TMA. . . ?

We called around a couple of weeks ago and the towncars were $150-$200 round trip. Mears does not run out of Sanford, and the cabs were expensive. We are probably using Coach USA which was $40/person round trip (just two of us), but who knows how many will be on the bus.

just checked an email return saved from Orlando Carriers, and their rate was $150 round trip for up to ten passengers for a private taxi or $40 round trip per person for a shuttle.

We just returned from a week at Disney on Sunday 8/31. We flew from ABE to Orlando Sanford Airport. We used Sunrise Florida Transportation to and from the airport. For the 4 of us and my parents it was $160 roundtrip for a 10 passenger van. We were very happy with their service. Was a little nervous before the trip because nobody seemed to post anything regarding them when I'd ask. It turned out to be just fine. They even did a 30 min grocery stop for us. I would recommend them to anyone flying into Sanford. It was about a 45 minute drive to Disney no including the grocery stop.

We used Sanford in 2000. And rented a car from Budget (off site) I believe it was around $156.00 for a 8 day rental. May of 2000.
I would check car rental price verse the cost of a town car. Just my $.02.

Thanks for the positive information on using Sunrise Florida.
We are arriving at Sanford Airport at the end of the month. I looked up various car hires and booked Sunrise Florida not knowing if they were dependable or what. I was a bit nervous about this since we are arriving late at night and are traveling with small children. Thanks for putting my fear to rest!

My family was scheduled to fly out of the Rockford,IL airport on TMA on September 17. We were just notified today on September 7 that our flight was canceled. We could fly out on Sep. 15 or Sep 19. We have all of our other reservations and could not juggle to switch these. Lucky got another flight out on Southwest leaving the Chicago airport. Be very careful of TMA. I know I will never try to use them again and I will be telling everyone I know the same thing.
