flying spirit?

found some good deals on a flight home (booked airtran going down) looking at spirit. Can anyone tell me about their fees? I need seats together as we are traveling with a 4 yr old and 2yr old, we will have carseats on board as well. if there a bag charge?

Spirit charges for everything.

Last I read, the bag charges are $19 for the first checked bag.

To reserve a seat it is $12 for the aisle and window, and I think $10 for the middle seat.

The cost of the bags is 15 if you buy them on-line and 19 at check in, if I remember right, that is who I always fly through. I have never had any delays or problems with them.

Checked Baggage Fee $19 Online $25 at airport on Spirit..
You pay for drinks, including water inflight. I paid $3 for a coffee and a muffin.
You pay for pre-assigned seating too.

wow and theres an ad on there site saying they dont charge for soda like other airlines lol...maybe it isnt woth the $49 ow home thanks guys

Ahh, but that is the way Spirit's marketing works.

They do charge for soda, but their "clever" marketing tool is that they aren't building the cost of the soda into the fare. They are letting the consumer decide whether they want to buy that soda or not. So in their minds, they aren't charging you $100 for a soda.

And their baggage fees are $19 for the first bag, and has been that way for at least a few months now.
