I've gotten different answers from Spirit and wonder if anyone has real life experiences. I'm flying with three children (4, 4 and 3) and want to gate check my NO BACK booster seats. Is this allowed?
Also, the Web site says that you can gate check 1 stroller per child. What about a double stroller? Can I do that?
Like I said, I called them and got different answers both times.

I don't know about the stroller but you can stow the boosters in the overhead compartments, or under the seat in front of you. It's nice to know your boosters haven't been mishandled and possibly damaged.

Thank you for that answer! Do you have to pay an additional fee for that or does it count as carry-on? I just want to be prepared. Thank you!

Did you check Spirit's website? This question is answered there:]

Yes, I did read that. But a backless booster seat installs differently so it's technically not FAA approved. But I didn't know if we could gate check them without a fee or if they could be stowed as a carryon.

I called Spirit for a fourth time today and got still a different answer from the person I talked to.

And it doesn't matter. What will happen is the gate agent will decide the "rule du jour" If you show up and say the "phone line said" you will probably not get very far.

Sorry, but if you expected customer service and/or consistent responses to questions you probably picked the wrong airline.

Not sure what to tell you. Spirit plays by different rules. On the other airlines yes you can gate check this or put in the overhead but....

:confused3

The web site is clear that car seats and strollers can be checked (gate or ticket desk) for free. Just do that.

No airline allows booster seats to be used on a plane.

And booster seats aren't car seats. Especially on Spirit, expect to pay to transport these items.
