We are flying to Las Vegas tommorow. I have a few question If you don't want to do the liquid 3-1 thing you can pack bigger amounts in your checked bag right?

I'm taking my purse on as a carry on, Can I keep my makeup in my purse or will I need to check it as well?

Your larger liquids can go in your checked bags. Make sure they are properly secured and in a baggie.
If your makeup is liquid, it has to go in the 3-1-1 bag. If it holds its shape, it is not liquid and you can keep it in your purse.
