Hey Everyone!!

Unfortunately, I'm not going to WDW, but I may be flying to Atlanta out of Buffalo.

Since I know many Cdns fly to Florida out of Buffalo, I figured this was the best place to come for answers.

So, can anyone tell me if there is anything I should be aware of being Cdn and not flying into the US from Canada? Can you just purchase airfare online, on the US site?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
Sandra

Hi, we had no problem purchasing our tickets thru Southwest. We flew direct to Orlando, but they do have flights that stop in Atlanta. We did everything online. When we got to the airport I showed them our email confirmation and passports. That was it. Very easy flying out of Buffalo and would do it again. I highly recommend it.

We booked our flights online using searstravel.ca. Got our confirmation and everything from Sears. Also got a lower price than I was getting on the airlines own websites. Doesn't always work out this way but has worked twice for us. Good Luck!

Using Buffalo Airport is an absolute pleasure....beautiful, clean, new, modern, efficient, food is available, easy parking, easy rental car return...I wish I could say the same for Toronto Airport!
(but of course cannot, as of now).

We flew SW last Nov for our cruise and I booked on-line with Cdn credit card and had no issues. We stayed overnight at Buffalo Homewood Suites and their complimentary shuttle took us to the Curb-side check-in where we had no issues, went quickly through security and had plenty of time to spare waiting at the gate. It's really quite easy. We also had no issues getting across the border and only had to show our passports on way in. Easy and hassle-free. Jo

We've also flown SWA out of Buffalo, twice now. It was a breeze, both times. We stayed at the Quality Inn across from the airport, left the car there and took the shuttle over.

Both flights were booked online. All we had to do at check-in was give them our names and show ID (passport). They didn't even look at the computer receipt.

Evil Queen: DH is working in Toronto and flying weekly on AirTran from Atlanta to Buffalo. He has done about 35 round trips since early December.

You can book AirTran online at www.airtran.com It's really easy. You can also check yourself in and print your boarding cards ahead of time.

The planes are new Boeing 717's, with average age of 3 years old. You can purchase upgrades at the gate if available for $35. He really likes Airtran and flying to/from Buffalo. He flew AC once and cost was so much more, plus the hastle of getting to Pearson, he said: "Never again"

(Actually he should have just landed on flight 559, as we speak!)

They have 4 flights per day to Atlanta. I would go to their website and sign up for their sale alert. Usually the one-way fares are starting at $74, plus about $8 taxes (unlike flying AC where taxes can be $$$$) They just finished a sale yesterday but they usually come out with something new every few weeks. They will send you a email when something comes up. If you are looking at their website for prices, keep in mind that each flight/date could be different, so keep looking and checking back.

If you have any other questions, just let me know!
