Taking our kids to WDW in May, wondering if anyone has thoughts about staying at hotel night before or driving to airport in the morning. I have never flown out of Buffalo but we are this time because of the price difference.

May 2008 - Pop Century

If you're going to stay overnight in Buffalo, there are a lot of options right near the airport. I would try the Hilton Garden Inn or the Homewood Suites.

I'd stay over night. You don't want to battle the Toronto/Hamilton traffic and then have to deal with the construction and then the bridge all before getting to the airport.
The QEW is a mess with all of the construction around St.Catharines and it's not going to be any better by May

My son and I are going next September and I plan on getting a hotel room in Buffalo. A bonus to doing that is that most of them near the airport wil let you leave your car there for the length of your trip free of charge!! (Park and fly can be pretty expensive, so I hear)

I have done it all I think :) and the most worry-free experience is to stay the night before. This also gives you the option of hitting Walmart or Target for any last-minute toiletries, clothes, etc, and being able to easily get them packed in your suitcases. And if you run into a border backup, you won't be freaking out about the possibility of a missed flight :)

Thanks for all the answers, I was leaning on just driving but maybe staying over sounds better for abit more money and less hassle.

We stay at the Sleep Inn right at the Airport. Don is the General Manager, and Peter is a very helpful employee there that we deal with. I asked if I could have stuff mailed there to pick up when I'm going to be down again and he said yes! :cool1:

What kind of stuff?
You mean stuff you order through sites that don't mail to Canada, ex. Target, and pick them up next time you fly out of Buffalo to DW?
