I've seen a small number of them in NC over the past few weeks, but nothing like what we've experienced at the MK during Sept. trips.

Yikes!!! I've never seen them, I'm in Burlington. STAY SOUTH!!! You're in Cary, maybe they flew into RDU on the $49 Southwest flight. :)

Nah, they roll around too much to be able to stand in line and get a boarding number to fly Southwest. ;)

We just got back from 8 days at OKW last night and I believe the love bugs were on their way out. They were a mess the first 5 or 6 days, but seemed to be pretty much gone by Thursday. Maybe there were so many to begin with that a few didn't bother me so much at the end of the week! Very harmless, just a nuisance. Definitely won't stay away in September because of a love bug infestation (not when you can ride Everest twice in about 50 minutes and TOT in about 20!). :thumbsup2

I love Sept. at Disney no lines and i can ride all day ...........

Had a "couple" crawl up and out of the neck of my shirt while at MCO on the way home last Thursday. :sad2:

I have noticed a few around the last couple of days. AK yesterday seemed to be moreso than here at BCV. I've swatted a few but nothing like I had read from the last couple of weeks and nothing like that SAB video :)

So glad to hear they are going away. Not gonna be at the World for a few more weeks, but was beginning to worry.

They are just about gone now, probably resting for their return next spring.
:thumbsup2

I think they are more selective than that. They seem mostly attracted to UNATTENDED pool towels saving pool lounges while the guest is at a theme park.

Yup, with my luck they won't return until the last full week of April, when DH and I are there and DS is there with his new bride.

My girls loved those darn bugs - started naming them! When my DD7 asked me what she should name her little friend, I couldn't resist - "Squash" Her brother got into the act and suggested "Gone" and "Goner"! They were just annoying, but no worse than flies. And at least my kids weren't scared of them (for some reason, mayflies scare the bejeebers out of them! :rolleyes2 )
