So, I have been trying to get an estimate on airfare for our cruise next fall, so that I can budget, and it doesnt really look like there are a lot of direct flights from SEA to MIA, except for Red Eyes. So, I am looking into flying into FLL instead (a lil cheaper to do that too) and found some direct flights. Is it more of a hassle to fly into FLL, as opposed to MIA? I just don't know if I could convince DH to do a red eye, since he doesnt sleep well on planes...
Any thoughts on this??

Flying in to FLL is easy! We did it for our spring break cruise last year and are doing it again this year. It only takes about 30-40 minutes or so to get to the port of Miami. I'd go for the cheaper flights especially if you can avoid a red eye.

Fort Lauderdale is a much easier airport to navigate. I'd definitely choose it over Miami.

I don't have any experience yet, but it's what we plan on doing in May. We're flying in the day before and hoping to take SAS transportation from Ft Lauderdale to our Miami hotel.

Thats what we do. Direct flights and cheaper.
We always fly into FLL the night before.
Stay in FLL if you wish and take SAS transport ($15 per person) to POM.
Or what we do... Pick up rental car at FLL. Return rental car to MIA then take the free rental shuttle to the pier.

Rooms are cheaper in FLL as well.

We're actually going to rent a car out of FLL and stay at an airbnb condo on Miami Beach for the land portion and then board the ship after. Gotta give hubby his beach time, so that DD and I can get our Disney time. :) Fair trade, IMO.
