Flying in April

How on earth do people score such good deals??? I really do not want to pay over $400 per ticket. Help!!!!

Last year we cut our trip short in order to fly on days that had cheaper flights (went Monday to Saturday). This year I got on JB's site the moment they opened fares a couple of weeks ago and got three tix (Saturday to the following Monday) for just over $900, which is a bit more than we pay at non peak times but not as bad as I feared. We luck out in that we are close to several NY airports where the schools have a different break week than us so that helps too.
