Flying home from Ft Lauderdale after Miami Port - 11:45am too early?

I know they say not to book a flight before 12:30 PM, however the Fort Lauderdale airport is much closer to the Miami airport then Orlando is from Port Canaveral, isn't it? Has anyone ever flown out of Fort Lauderdale after a Miami cruise?

The flight times are mostly before 9am and after 2:30pm. Nothing in the sweet spot, but there are 2 flights at about 11:45. Am I pushing it!

We left port sometime between 8:30-8:45 and had plenty of time to spare for our 11:20 ish flight. Assuming there are no weather delays, etc...should take only 40 min in traffic.

You may have more traffic issues in Miami. It's a big city. The drive between Port Canaveral and MCO is a straight shot on a highway with not a lot of commuting traffic.
