I will be flying out to Disney in October this will be my first time flying with my children. what should i expect? what should I bring with them? ages are 3, 12 14 7? I will hopefully have another adult joining me as my husband wont be able to make this trip, I also will most likely be bringing all of our luggage as carry on so does that mean each kid gets free carry on? any and all suggestions about traveling will be helpful, also what about snacks can i pack them up as carryons?

Generally, any ticketed passenger is allowed a carry-on, at least on every airline I've ever flown. As for snacks, as long as it's not liquid or jelly, you shouldn't have a problem.

Actually each passenger is (generally) allowed one carry on (think small roller bag) and one personal item (think backpack/purse). I think Spirit is currently the only airline charging for carry ons.

Yes, you can put snacks in your carry on bags, but they can't be liquid or jelly (they must "keep their shape" when out of their container. I believe the exception to this is if it's on a sandwich already.

Make sure each child has activities with them to keep them entertained for the flight. Include some that are NOT electronic (books, etc) because there will be a significant time when electronics need to be OFF.
