Has anyone been to Flying Fish at Boardwalk? The menu looks good, but I 'd like an opinion from someone who's been there.

We went and were very dissapointed. The atmosphere is quite nice, but the food was burnedd and our server was not as attentive as he should have been. The food was not great at all. Spoodles is a better option for an evening on the Boardwalk. We have eaten there four times and have always been very pleased.

We've been to Spoodles twice and also liked it very much. Someone recommended Flying Fish to us, but we always like to get other opinions. Thanks.

We've been to Flying Fish and thought it was very good -- one of the best meals we've had at WDW. :thumbsup2

We have been to Flying Fish 5, maybe 6 times and have had wonderful dining experiences there. On our last trip in June, we enjoyed it so much, we cancelled an ADR somewhere else to return for a second meal.

Where shall I start? The restaurant is beautiful! The fabrics, tile work, colors, murals, overhead hangings, fixtures, china, etc etc etc .. all join together to make one of the most wonderfully designed restaurants I have ever eaten.

The service .. always so good! Our first trip, we had a woman who was so helpful. She walked us thru all the dishes .. all the things that weren't quite familiar. This last trip, one of our serves was Michael. I would request his section anytime.

Last but not least .. the food! Oh my gosh .. I have never had a bad dish there! The grouper, mahi mahi, snapper, halibut, steak, lobster appy.. were all just great. And a wonderful, unique finishing touch was the chocolate sampler.

We have been to Spoodles every trip since they opened and would not dream of skipping it. But Flying Fish is on our must do list, too!

We were there in May. It was delicious!! One of the best places there!! Make an adr, you won't be sorry! :goodvibes

ONe of my favorite places to eat. We go every trip. Best steak in all of Disney.

FF is on our "must-do" list every trip now. About 5 yrs ago we first tried it and weren't too impressed-I don't remember why. We didn't go back again until about a year and a half ago and since we've been "hooked"! We love sitting at the open kitchen area. We've had some good chats with the cooks/chefs up there (and many have given us various food samples). One of our visits the head chef (I forgot his name), came over and helped DD stir the butter in her Mickey Pasta (it was cute).

Service is always very friendly and the food is excellent. I'm hooked on the mussels so I order that a lot as an entree and then just get a salad which is also good. I've also gotten the salmon which was excellent as well as the ravioli which was also great. DD loves the kid's salad as this is one of her favorite places to get salad.

We were just there about a week ago and it was as good as it usually is. Already made or ADR's for our upcoming October trip. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We go to the FF 5 - 6 times a year and I highly recommend it. It recently won a culinary award and we have never been dissapointed.

Mickey 1122's comment about burned food is probably a reference to the charcrusted steak. It is prepared that way on purpose.

I have been there 4-5 times. Every time, the food was great, and we had really good service.

We go to the FF everytime we're in the "world." We've always had great service, excellent food, and enjoy the lovey "fishy" decor. I suggest you try it -- the snapper is fantastic!!!

Flying Fish is one of the top 5 restaurants on disney property. You will love it!

The time I went, it was excellent. I second the snapper. Amazingly good.

I've been 5 or 6 times and every time the food and service has been specatular...

Excellent restaurant - we went twice our last trip and loved it. Great food, great waitstaff and fabulous food.

FF has become our first night in WDW restaurant. We've had three amazing dinners there, and our 4th is just 34 days away. The service (Joe twice, Terri once) has always been perfect. The food is great. We always have a hard time choosing because everthing on the menu is so good. I highly recommend the grilled scallops with risotto. The risotto ingredients change seasonally, but it's always been excellent. The calamari and crab cake apps are great, too. I'm getting hungry thinking about it...

Wow! What overwhelmingly great reviews! I guess I'd better make that ADR quickly since our trip is coming up in August.

I'm an avid FF recommender and defender! :thumbsup2 We love the FF and have never had anything less than the best food and service. I always get the char crusted NY strip; it's the best steak I've ever had and has always been cooked medium rare as I specified. Seriously, try it once and if you don't like it, try it again becuase the first time was a fluke ;)

Even though you've already decided, :) I couldn't help but throw in my praise, too. We have eaten there twice, once in 2001 and once a little over a week ago. Gorgeous, delicious food and fabulous service in a really pretty restaurant. I don't see how you could go wrong!

About 5 years ago we had a mediocre meal, when we were expecting exceptional, and never went back again until Dec 05, when we were steeled for mediocre and experienced outstanding - even better than CG!
