I currently have Flying Fish booked, the menu looks good but the prices are high. I was looking at the Toledo menu and it looks good and a lot less. I haven’t been to either and was wondering which has the better tasting food? It’s for when I’m going with my parents for grandparent trip so I want them to have a good meal. Is Flying Fish worth it even with the higher cost?

We've been to both (we are local) several times. We love both and will return to them. I'd rate them pretty equal. Yes, FF is slightly better food. But the food at Toledo is really good too. Plus you get a great view from there.

Have not been to Toledos.
Have been to Flying Fish twice since it reopened and was one of our best meals both trips.

I am with PP, have not been to Toledos.

However, we went to Flying Fish in September and had a WONDERFUL meal. Service was spectacular and there wasn't one thing our party ordered that we didn't enjoy.

Tried Toledo last May and it was delicious! The best meal of our trip. Had the scallops and they were really good, the view was lovely and the service was excellent. It was a relaxing and enjoyable meal and a nice memory. I did like, but didn't love, Flying Fish when we tried it a few years ago but other than the pork belly, the food was just okay. We also did Jiko on that same trip and Jiko blew it away. Personally, I think FF is a bit overrated for the price. I may consider it again if I were staying at one of the EP resorts which I am in May but I still hoping for a reopening of Narcoosee's.

Flying Fish 100% unless your goal is to get a nice view while dining. Toledo was quite good though. It has improved every time we have been there.

A few years before covid we dined at the Flying Fish. My wife didn't care too much for it so we opted to go to other places on our trips after that. This past May I convinced her to give it another go. After looking at the menu she gave the thumbs up. So, the 3 of us (wife, 18 year old son and myself) made reservations closer to the end of our vacation. We all agreed it was the best meal we had during our 14 days there. We also dined at Le Cellier, Narcoossees, Boathouse, Toledo, Yachtsman and Jiko. Jiko was the res we were looking forward to the most. It used to be my favorite along with Cali Grill. Flying Fish smashed it. Nothing came close to it. We were not expecting that. We still bring it up quite often and is now a must do on our next visit.

FF food was quite good. That pork belly is still being talked about. Our service was only so so. We tried it this past December for the first time.

Toledo food was also quite good. Our server there was top notch. We did reminisce about the food fondly for a few months but it’s been a year now and I can’t remember exactly what we had. Only that we felt it was better than Amare at the Swan Reserve where we also dined that trip.

I would give the nod to Toledo, unless your main concern is quality of food and nothing else. FF food has a slight edge. But given the $ difference, I’m going to Toledo.
