I had the opportunity to join 5 associates for dinner on 10/22 at the Flying Fish and 10/23 at Citircos. I have enjoyed both of these restaurants in the past. We had 8:30 seating at Flying Fish and were seated on time. Fair crowd but certainly not full. We ordered some drinks, waited quite a while to receive them and on was incorrect. Then we waited for quite a while to place our appetizer/salads. Rather long wait to get those also but they were all quite good. Ordered a bottle of wine and placed main course order. The dinners showed up before the wine which came a bout 5 minutes later. Basically, the food was good, service was poor.
Next night at Citircos was a much better experience. Service was excellent and food was very good.
I have the Disney Dining Experience card and it is really great to receive 20% discount on the entire bill (drinks included).
I have heard that all Boardwalk area restaurants are experiencing turnover and some disruptions in quality service. I only have sample of one. My previous experience is that the flagship restaurants from the deluxe resorts are always top notch.

We keep saying that we're going to try Citricos but haven't gotten around to it!
What did you all have there?

Mikoiv - we also experienced bad service at Flying fish but thought it was just our waitress, who seemed totally disorganised. We got the wine before our meals but we had to open it ourselves as she just plonked it on the table and walked away.
Our service at Citricos was top notch though.

The table had Arancini, Tomato Salad, Yellow Tomato Gazpacho soup as apetizers. Main course Swordfish (absolutely excellent), Berkshire Pork 2 ways, Veal Shank and Striped Bass. We had 2 bottles of an average California Red. No desert, most of the table was heading to MNSCHP. I also had a Citropolitan, quite good.

thanks for the review - i've read other disappointing reviews of flying fish -
haven't been to citricos yet but sounds great!

You had to open the wine yourself!!! That is inexcuseable at the prices the FF charges. I hope that you complained to the manager. We have always had attentive service there. Our experience at Citricos was quite the opposite.

I know to be honest I was just bemused by the whole thing!! I would have complained but our waitress was heavily pregnant and I felt sorry for her. On the plus side the food was fantastic, it was just the service that sucked!
