During our recent trip to WDW, we arranged to rent a portable DVD player.

I can't recommend this highly enough. It made the flight between MSP and MCO pass very quickly.

I was very suprised how little it cost to rent a DVD player one way. The total fee, which included one DVD rental, was just over $ 20.00. You do need to have a credit card to put a security deposit on the player.

The player and DVD selection can be reserved on the web. Once you have a reservation, you just stop by the both, sign a quick form, and you are on your way. I don't think it took longer then 10 minutes on either end.

If I was flying with childern, I would sure think about this as an option to keep them entertained.

Again, I highly recommend this!!!

BTW, I don't work for the DVD player rental company.

Can you provide more details, like a website address, where the booths are located, etc?

I am interested on more info too. I didn't know you could rent portable DVD players. We are driving next year. I would love to do that. If prices drop by next year I may just buy one, but that is only if prices drop below $250.

They rent the DVD players at major airports. (Nashville does not qualify for example) I have seen them at Cinn, Atlanta and some other ones. It is a small personal player, not really one that you could have kids in the car watch very well since it is like a laptop so the screen is fairly small.

The web site is InMotion Pictures. The web site details how to rent and where there locations are. I believe MCO has three booths.

They rent two different sized DVD players, 5" and 7". We rented the 7" and it was plenty big for two people in airline seats. You just put it on the tray. Make sure you rent extra headphones if you want more then one person listening.

I am not sure about renting one for a car trip. Maybe some video stores have the same thing.

This is a great idea! I just went to the site and rented a DVD Player for our April trip. Now, m I have ammunition to talk my DH out of buying a Portable DVD Player!
