Flying Delta for Easter 4/4/12 to 4/11/12 to MCO

I am trying to get the best rate for a direct flight from DTW (Detroit) to MCO (Orlando) on 4/4/12 to 4/11/12. Prices have come down slightly since before Christmas, but I am unsure when the best time to book is. There are 5 of us, so I want to insure we all sit together, but $300/pp seems an awful lot. Any suggestions?

BTW, I want to use Delta, as I have their credit card and can get 1 bag checked free for each in my party.

Good luck. We are going 4/9-4/15.
Non stop direct flights from NJ and NY were running 450-700 pp.

We did some research and are now driving the 2 1/2 hrs to Allentown, PA and flying Airtran for $250 pp.

Check smaller airports in the surrounding area you may find something more reasonable.

Southwest is $254.20 rt inc taxes. They don't have nonstop flights but no baggage fees if checking luggage. You could also check Allegiant from Toledo, Grand Rapids, Saginaw etc. SunCountry has nonstop flights from Lansing to Orlando for your dates for $208 inc taxes.

I'm getting $265 pp for your dates on Delta. I'd jump on that and be happy. That's the price I get for up to 3 people. For the additional 2, the price goes up. You might try breaking into 2 groups if you have 2 adults.

Looks like AirTran has non-stops for $243.

I Just booked through Delta 3 days ago and got them for $200 rt, we are flying out of DTW also. Since you are going for spring break that's probably why it is so high.
