Someone mentioned this to me the other day and has me thinking. ya the on board bags are screened but are the bags that are checked in screened and check for something that sould make the plane go wrong? Figures they tell me when I am leaving in less then 25 days, argh

If you are referring to your luggage that you check in, yes it is screened it goes through an Xray machine and if it detects anything they have the right to search your bag.

Yes they are thoroughly screened and subjected to a random search as well.

Yes, all bags are screened. In fact the bags that are checked in go through a stronger Xray than bags that go through check in. For that purpose should you bring a disposable camera (regular, or waterproof, fantastic for the waterparks) make sure you carry them on. Because they use 800speed film they can easily get destroyed. (Happened to us after our vacation in Antigua and pics were ruined!)
Also, when I travel now and carry on the film/disposable camera, while going through security I hold them in my hand and ask for a hand check so that it does not go through xray. :Pinkbounc
