I've done Flylady off and on. I don't use a "control journal". Honestly, it would just be one more piece of clutter for me. Instead, I have a medium-sized refillable calendar-book to which I add notations on things that need to be cleaned, purchased, to-do lists, etc....

I just have the book...I don't have a control journal...unless that is the book....as you can probably tell, I used to fly, but got my wings clipped a couple of years ago. I'd love to get back into it. It's just one of those things. I'll have to inspire myself to spread my wings again.

ooh, close call. I was just ready to click on the link but when I saw "clean your house" my hand shot back like I just stuck it in a flame. Them's 5 letter curse words.

All I have to do is look around & see the mess to feel guilty. Unfortunately not guilty enough to actually cl**n.

I have something that I bought at Office Depot to use as a control journal. It's only half done, though. I should really finish it. I do some of her stuff, which does help around the house.

I'd like to meet the fly lady. She seems like she'd be a lot of fun. Cleaning kitchen sinks in only 12 easy steps! Wow!!! It probably takes me 30 steps & more than an hour to really get the sink shiny. She's amazing.

Maybe I'll invite her over for some coffee & we can talk about laundry.

y'all are so FUNNY!
I too am currently a drop out - BUT I have gotten a calendar & I'm keeping up with it for now (instead of jiblets of paper)
That's about it
Can't get the shoes on either
DH does the dishes -the dishes are done but the sink isn't shiny (but I can't complpain the dishes are DONE!)
That's it.
Trying to get on a little rountine of bathrooms cleaned every Thurs & laundry done everyday (put I can't get it put up!)

SO I'm still working on it..........

I experimented with Flylady. Her plan is great, but.... Let's just say if I were that diligent, I wouldn't need the Flylady. My house is so far gone that it would take weeks to get into her routine. However, we are probably moving in about a year. I am thinking of using her for the move. Then maybe once we get into the new place, I can use her to get settled and keep it clean.

As for shining my sink, I found it wasteful. We have a double sink. We are on well water and have a septic tank. With a family of four, the septic is more of a concern than the well. I can't justify GALLONS of unneeded water into the septic every night. I can shine my sink without wasting so much water/septic capacity.
