I went to the site and updated for both me and DH....they have info on all 3 shots now
I was more meaning your part of your quote where you said you hadn't heard from them since. I don't know if they have a set time schedule for texts other than right at the 6 month mark for boosters or 3rd doses like the did for the initial series since not everyone qualifies for them, not everyone will get them and there's no set schedule for them other than for Pfizer and Moderna at least 6 months after 2nd dose. J&J I want to say is 4months?? (don't quote me on J&J lol). I'm not sure the CDC knows now often they should reach out to v-safe participants to ask about boosters or 3rd doses but it would be nice to know like we did for the initial series.I know it wasn't a reminder. It asked if I had gotten my booster
I was just typing information in here with screenshots in case you needed it but I'll leave the info here just in case anyone else needs the help. Glad you got it updated!I went to the site and updated for both me and DH....they have info on all 3 shots now

I'm guilty of assisting the morph. I did get a flu shot at the beginning of September, as soon as it was available. I'm a wimp and I typically only take one shot at a time. I knew the booster was coming and I wanted to space them out.Your flu shot thread, LO, has sort of morphed into a COVID shot/booster thread. But all of it is good info.
Like I said, PS, it is all good information.I'm guilty of assisting the morph.
I was just thinking about this yesterday. Nobody in my household has had so much as the sniffles for 20 months and in our region, the flu wasn't even a thing last year. I guess we can chalk it up to the distancing, masks and hand sanitizers doing their jobs. One of my staff members currently has the flu (lab-verified - not Covid) so since we have relaxed certain precautions, garden-variety bugs are starting to circulate again.I never get a flu shot and I can confidently say that I’ve never had the flu. Outside of a sinus infection a few years ago, I couldn’t tell you the last time I was sick with anything. My DD18 is always telling me how unfair it is - LOL! I don’t even remember the last time I’ve had a cold. I did get the COVID vaccine though - I didn’t want to test my luck with COVID![]()
Text book reaction. I had it with both Moderna jabs (nothing from my first, which was AZ) and so did a ton of other people I know. It creeps in about 12 hours post-injection and begins to abate about 12 hours after that. I'm glad you got through it.Got flu and covid shots yesterday at 8:30am. This morning around 2:30am I woke with bad body aches and a mild fever but it caused me to shiver and break into a sweat so hard I had to go put on winter pajamas. Took advil and feel much better. Just fatigue and maybe a hair nauseous. Also have a sore spot in my armpit on the side I got the covid shot. Must be a popped up lymph node.
No regrets.
The pharmacists all say it's a sign of a robust immune response.CDC says it's okay after getting the vaccine shots. (scroll down a bit on that link}Hey everyone, I've read a few links out there about trying not to take anything (Tylenol, Motrin, etc) after a vaccine. I've been living by that but not sure if anyone else has read about that. Apparently either of these types of meds can thwart your immune response. One site said to try to wait about week before taking anything because I guess that's when you're making the most antibodies. Fortunately I haven't been ill enough after any vaccine but other things on me hurt (like my post-op left foot!!) but I'm toughing it out because, by golly, if I'm going to go through getting vaccines, I want a very robust response. Besides me and my GYN who told me about it, when I talk about it with others they've never heard about it. When I got my vaccine this past Thursday, the administrator said to me that if I had side effects to try not to take anything but if I had to, use Tylenol. First I've ever heard someone address that with me.
Was this a booster shot? Which one?Got flu and covid shots yesterday at 8:30am. This is exactly what I got when I googled it prior to getting my first Moderna and the pharmacist confirmed it, for sure.CDC says it's okay after getting the vaccine shots. (scroll down a bit on that link}
It is not recommended you take these medicines before vaccination for the purpose of trying to prevent side effects.
I routinely take pain meds before going to the dentist so I thought it might work here too. Glad I looked it up first.I do the same before dental visits.This is exactly what I got when I googled it prior to getting my first Moderna and the pharmacist confirmed it, for sure.I routinely take pain meds before going to the dentist so I thought it might work here too. Was this a booster shot? Which one?
Thanks. I hope you're feeling better today.Flu shot was my annual, and the covid shot was my 3rd Pfizer. I had a similar reaction to my second booster back in March (without the sore arm pit).
Two years, TWO YEARS without anyone being sick with anything and avoiding Covid for 20 months and DD gets a garden variety cold at school. We can’t even figure out how as no one in her circle is sick.I was just thinking about this yesterday.
