Flowers and Star Wars and Harry, oh my! TR started, link inside!

I'm seriously thinking of moving to CSR.
I like the idea of walking to Epcot, and being on the Boardwalk,
but the price isn't justifying it.
I was thinking of giving my sisters the beds and using the pull-out,
but after this past week, I will never sleep on a pull out. I am going to pack my own pillow too. 2 rooms at CSR almost equals the price of The Yacht club.

Sounds like two rooms at CSR may be the right decision for you.

Well, you should be a salesperson for CSR because now I want to switch to CSR!

I'm going to run it past my mom.

Thanks, Lessa! :goodvibes

Happy New Year Lessa, Beth and The Bros Grimm

Planning ADR's for two weeks is so hard! We don't want to spend too much money or have an ADR every day but we do want to eat at a table service fairly regularly. Please help me choose by telling me your number one favourite table service restaurant at WDW.

Happy New Year Lessa, Beth and The Bros Grimm

Happy New Year to you and your family as well Rosie. New Years Eve came and went very quietly, I hope the the New Years brings the same as well, I have a few more days off before I go back to work, the past week has been very relaxing and lazy. I think I am driving Lessa crazy with the trip planning and in doing so I have not started the New Year off in Lessa's good book for the year. Sorry Lessa:flower3::hug: Lessa has always done an outstanding job in planning our past trips, and I am sure she will do the same this trip as well. Any way I have been busy reading and You Tubing rides at Universal as I am a bit of a ride Scaredy Cat, and I have to check out a ride from all angles before I will go on it, I am not much into coasters, my last trip to Disney I actually went on Expedition Everett, no more said:scared1:, I how ever have heard that the line cue are sometimes better than the rides themselves and are just worth walking and waiting through. So much to look forward too, I can't wait:cool1:

I don't think I can pick a #1 fav table service but ones I def LOVE : Boma, Narcoossee's and rose & crown.

Snakes getting into our room is my #1 fear while traveling in Florida. I know the chances are small but that fear is still there. Then I was browsing through threads here on the Dis and found this!

I refuse to click on that thread.

I've been posting about The Market over at the Swan/Dolphin. They have "organic food" Breakfast Buffet. The price might be a little high, we paid $11.00 a person, but it wasn't busy, they make the food while you stand and watch, like "mickey waffle or pancakes, omelette's, etc. I'm not a big breakfast person, but we walked over on our last day at 9:30 a.m. and got right in. You can make an ADR for it though. We were both pleasantly surprised.

Does Boma count as table service? Boma is my number one favorite place to eat in all of Disney World!

You're in big trouble, Lessa! After reading all the great things you wrote about CSR, I've been looking at pictures and I. AM. IN. LOVE. :lovestruc

For some reason CSR is quite a bit more expensive than the other moderates at the time we're going. But I think the extra money will be worth it. Now, how do I tell DH that I'm going over my "budget" by $200?

Took a look, it costs the same, actually is a few bucks cheaper than the usual breakfast buffets. Definitely one to consider, this is the first I had even heard of it.

 Maybe it is the type of room, the "standard" rooms are probably sold out. Have you checked out the CSR info thread on the resorts board?

Boma definitely counts as a table service. I have that slotted for one of our breakfast buffets. Problem is I have 5 or more breakfast buffets booked and I need to narrow that down to one or two.

It's a standard room. But I think there's a big conference there that week, so maybe that's why it's more expensive? :confused3

I figured out the money and it would be $600 total to upgrade from Pop to CSR. It would be a bit less than $400 to upgrade to POR. I don't know what to do!!!

That is my greatest fear too. I always click on the links too, I just can't help it. I am really bummed about the computer assigning your room and not getting a request. I will be terrified of being on the ground floor and a snake coming in.:scared1::scared1:

I can't help clicking on the threads either. I know I shouldn't because they will freak me out but I do it anyways. I remember reading one thread where somebody went out to their car at the Wilderness Lodge and there was an alligator under it! Not a full grown one but it was still an alligator! :scared1:

Since you are going with the Bros. Grimm check out 50's Prime Time.

August 2008 - The Year of the Rash and the Rat

After the July 2007 trip we didn't plan on returning until 2010. Mom and I had a cruise booked for December 2008 but as for parks we said no WDW until 2010 and then Disneyland in 2012. Well those plans quickly went out the window.

In Fall/Winter of 07/08 the Fockers started talking about a big Fockerfest meet in August of 08. I thought that sounded like lots of fun so I told Mom I wanted to go and that I would go solo since the rest of the family had said no returns until 2010. Well Mom said that she wanted to go as well. Since Mom and I were going we had to invite Alek and Erich. After they found out how cheap the trip would be (we stayed at POP) they signed on for the trip as well.

As the trip came closer I closely watched the Hurricane Tracking Centre website. Well just our luck, the day we were set to arrive in Orlando Tropical Storm Fay was due to arrive in Orlando as well. Let's just say that flying into a Tropical Storm is not fun, well really it was the outer edges of the storm but still not fun. Now with most hurricanes and storms you get lots of rain and wind for a day or two and then it moves on, well not in our case! Fay decided to linger over Florida for pretty much the whole week we were down there! This is when we realized we were cursed, with a rain curse. You will recall that our 1997 trip was rainy the whole time, in 07 the weather was pretty good except for the whole day at AK and the great Epcot flood of 07.

We did not let the weather get us down and we had a great trip with a few exceptions. What were these exceptions? Well I developed a mysterious rash which was really bothersome and then there was the rat incident. Some of you are familiar with this incident others of you are not. Well one night we were sitting at a table on the Tomorrowland Terrace where the Wishes Dessert Party is now held. Well as we were sitting there waiting for Wishes I felt a scratching on my calf. I stood up to investigate what the scratching was and what do you think happened? A RAT FELL OFF MY LEG! That's right folks, a freaking rat had been trying to climb up my leg! Talk about a magical moment. If you want to read about the whole incident you can read it here: The Rat Incident

I also wrote a trip report about this trip, here is the link if you care to read.
