more flounders questions......we have a new little "mouse" olivia and was curious about a few things. she will be a little over 5 mos. at the time of sailing.
1-- will they hold her if she cries or call me right away. shes a good baby, but likes to be held when she gets in the "mood"(as we like to call it). she usually stops when shes comforted or talked to.
2--will they feed her if shes hungry??or call us??
3--i know theres a thread about no diaper changing with the bigger babes, but will they change an infant?
thanks, my hubby and i would like to go to palos and hit the nightclubs once (at least) and we are a little nerous:rolleyes: anyone use them with a similar aged baby? any comments or suggestions?thanks again!

We had our DS in there a few nights after dinner. There weren't alot of infants in there at that hour but the few that were in there were being held and rocked. I am sure that if your little one cries and is upset they will do everything possible to soothe her before they page you. I believe that they will feed her but you need to have the food in her diaper bag, they do not provide food. And as far as diaper changing, as far as I know they will do that also, you just need to have all the supplies in the diaper bad also.

1. From what I've seen, they will try to hold/rock/comfort a crying child. I think they only page you if they are unable to quiet the child in a reasonable amount of time (and I'm sure the level of staffing v. children will dictact what a reasonable amount of time is).

2. Flounders will not FEED your child a meal (so don't expect to be able to drop her off before you go to dinner without feeding her first) but they will feed your child snacks you provide (no peanuts), and they even have a few snacks in stock (I seem to recall one of the questions asked upon sign-up/check-in is can they give your child ?such-n-such? snack food).

3. Flounders does change diapers. However, I think you have to supply them.

:smooth:

We were just on the 11/30 Wonder cruise. After reading this board we learned to book asap. Our son (16weeks old) did get 3 nights of babysitting at Flounders. I was a little concerned about leaving him with strangers. (nervous mom) They were wonderful and showered him with attention. One night they did page us early...only 15 minutes. He doesn't like a bottle much and prefers to nurse. I packed pjs in his diaper bag and one night they did change him for bed. They said everyone loves to hold the little babies and fights over them. I was very happy with Flounders and won't hesitate to do it again. He always had a clean diaper and they do record everything. (we asked if he had a messy diaper and they referred to their notes) Everytime we picked him up he was in someones arms being rocked.
A couple of times when we were walking around the ship with him, staff would stop and call the baby by name and say I was with him last night he was great. Hope this helps!
Have a great trip!
