We're taking our 3 yr old and 4 month old twins on the cruise, and I just read that they only take 4 infants in the nursery. We weren't planning to sign them up for every night, but we were hoping to at least bring them in for one night to take our 3 yr old to one of the shows. But since our twins account for half of the maximum, what are our odds of getting them in?

Last time we went on the cruise, we didn't have any children yet, so I'm not familiar with the process. Do we make reservations the moment we get on board or can we do it in advance?

Thanks!

The first thing you will need to do is make your reservations. DCL only allows a certain number of children in each age group. Just because the web site shows a particular cruise is still available, the limit for children might have already been reached.

Now this is just a guess, but if you can get book a cruise with two infants, I would expect that you would able to get some time with both in the nursary, just not necessarily every day.

The nursary uses a reservation system where you make your requests once on board. They don't initially confirm ANY reservations but instead just take the requests. They later confirm the reservation with a message on your phone.

With this system in place, I'm sure they will give some priority to at least your first request in get twins in the nursary.

And get there as soon as Flounder's opens. I am usually standing outside the door when it opens:D And know ahead of time what the times slot is that your interested in so you can request it then and there.

Our boat was not full and we were told that we wouldn't have a problem if we came in a few hours before the time we wanted, well Friday afternoon I went in and requested that evening for 10-12 and they were full. We were put on the waiting list but never got a call. Lesson learned, sign up first thing.

We cruised 8/21/04 and the boat was FULL. I went straight to Flounders. You are able to sign up for three times initially, then more as/if space is available. I got all my initial requests and all additional requests. They staff the nursery partially based on the requests they have, and do all they can to meet your needs. I had to cancel one day because all the kids slept late, ruining our plans!!! And to cancel the last day becasue the baby got a cold (undoubtedly in the nursery). I had to pay for the first, but not the second cancellation. I can't imagine it will be any more difficult to get both babies in, then it would be to get one in......as long as you sign up ASAP.

Flouder's Reef was really good on our cruise. All of our requests were accepted, but we were there ASAP the first day of the cruise. We were also able to call them in the afternoon or whenever to book additional time. One time we had to move our time by an hour or so, but it all worked out great.
