florists? bakeries?

Can anyone suggest any bakeries in the area for wedding cakes? I don't need to spend several hundred dollars on a cake from Disney, when is not even that important.

Also, does anyone know a florist in the area? thanks!

i'm pretty sure that if you have a disney wedding you have to use their food services...It is some policy that they have. Others could tell you for sure But i'm positive i've heard that somewhere

i know, but i'm not having a disney wedding... i'm having a wedding at Shades of Green, the military resort. and i need to find all these vendors on my own

http://www.publix.com/custom/wedding/WeddingsAndSpecialOccasions.do its a grocery chain similiar to sams club or domicks & unbelievably publix has some beautiful & yummy cakes for reasonable/cheap $. my fi's cousin had a wedding in ft myers beach last year & used them for their cake it was good.

speaking of outside bakeries/cakes does anyone know for sure if you have to use disney for your dftw wedding cake? because ive considered an outside cake like with publix just because i dont feel its worth $700 for a cake with disney.

I noticed on the SoG website that they had a pavillion at SoG that could be used for weddings. I'm hoping to do a vow renewal at Disney. Could you share with me any info you have about a wedding at SoG, because I haven't found much on the web.

to rent the gazebo or a 1/4 of the ballroom (the whole ballroom fits about 1000 people) is $250. email the group sales or "contact us" page to ask for info on vendors or banquet menus. or call (I had good luck with a woman named Holly) and they will send it all to you. they have a lot of great banwuet options. i think you can also rent out the magnolia pool.
