Well somewhat. I was at a tradeshow on Wednesday evening and I met with the sale manager for Floridays Resort.
She told me the resort accepts pets with the following stipulations:

There is a $200/stay nonrefundable pet fee payable at check in (ouch!)
Pets must be 45 lbs or less
Pets must be kenneled/crated while guests are out of the unit
(they do not provide kennels, you must bring your own)

I never knew this because it's not openly advertised on their website.

Not necessarily the least expensive option, but I was happy when I heard this. I often get requests for pet-friendly accommodations.

Just thought I'd share! :goodvibes

I get the crating thing but the nonrefundable pet fee really stinks! My dog doesn't chew, never has an accident, and is a wonderful member of our family. I wouldn't want to pay a non-refundable deposit; however, I understand their side as not all people are lucky enought to have such a good dog!

The fee is generally for the extra clean-up a room will need after being occupied by an animal. Fleas and allergies are the main issues, so deep cleaning is required - the better establishments will steam-clean a carpet after pets have been in a unit.

I know $200 is a bit steep at first glance, but last time I boarded my dog I paid $25/day. You figure a week (8 days by kennel standards because if he wasn't picked up by 11 am I was charged for the day) at the kennel could cost $200.
This seems like a viable option for those who don't want to leave their pet and would have to pay to board anyway.
It surprised me when she said they were pet friendly, she even had a cute stuffed dog sitting on her display table with their literature.

I guess when you put it that way...I would pay it! LOL. The kids really miss their other "sister" when we're gone!

Many of the Marriott Hotels are pet-friendly. There are Residence Inns, Courtyard by Marriott, etc. that charge between $25-$100. There may be additional restrictions but they have spacious rooms and similar amenities to the other Resort/Hotels in the area.

Don't forget that hotels are taking additional risk and providing additional services (deep clean) to rooms even if your pet doesn't make messes, etc. By the human eye there may not seem to be any damage done but at a microbial level there is a large amount of activity. I'm sure you would want the room you stay in to be deep cleaned before you bring your pet in to stay after another animal has been there.
