Florida Vegas & California 2

we stayed at The Signature, which was a very nice place. was a bit concerned as i had read it was an extremely long walk to MGM Grand along the walk way, but was only a couple of minutes, think the ones who said 15 to 30 mins ,must have been drunk.

we went to see Ka at MGM, and it was a great show, and got DD her Justin Bieber tickets

had a good time in Vegas, as i was not sure about it, but would definetly go back.
I needed to get someone to go with DD to the concert,as i was not looking forward to it if i had to go, and DD would not have been impressed if i went with her. I saw a guy with his family, and his middle daughter was the only one who liked him, they where down as his older daughter had a basketball tournament with her High School. Turned out they where from Calgary, and where unable to get tickets, and had come on the chance that someone was selling them, so i offered to give them the ticket and his daughter could keep my DD company, which turned out good for me. They both had a great time.
So end of our stay in Vegas, and headed to Yucca Valley. Stopped at a place called Kelso, to break up the journey

drove along a section of route 66

arrived at cousins house and had some relxing time, and washing as we where heading to Sequoia on Tuesday

camping was great, and even DW enjoyed it

I don't blame you for not wanting to go to the concert...it was crazy here in Kansas and with all the screaming girls...holly cow! But you did make that other's girls year I bet!

DH and I are going back to Vegas next year for our 10 year anniversary (we got married there) and we just love seeing all the sites since we don't really gamble very much. There is tons to just see and the shows are pretty good.

I love the picture of the oversized plants and ant...where was that taken at?

that was The Bellagio, do not gamble much myself, but there is so much to see and do ,

yeah when i said i would give her the ticket she started crying, and after the show she came and gave me a hug, and her mother was crying, felt a bit overwhelmed, as they where doing me the favour, but it felt good to make someones day.

I really like to look at pix from LV ...don't know that we'll ever make it there.

Glad you didn't have to suffer thru Justin's concert. That was so sweet of you to offer your ticket to another girl who truly appreciated it. Didn't Lily want to go?

You need to get to Vegas Barb, i am hoping to get back in 2 years as we have florida planned for next year.
Was not sure about it , but we all loved it, Lily did not fancy spending over 2 hours with about 7,000 screaming Teens, yes the girl and her family where really happy, and glad i made someones day.
Lily did not look forward to the camping, but we all loved it, she was just saying the other day, that it was probably the best thing of the vacation, and would have no hesitation doing it again.

I'll keep Vegas on my bucket list.....ya never know....

As for the camping...forget it! That's not my idea of 'vacation'
