Check Post #21 in the Tickets Sticky!
Spoke with a wonderful lady today at the payment plan phone line and she said that when you make your initial payment online, you will receive a confirmation email regarding your purchase. You will also receive "E" tickets to print out and trade in at any of the parks or at Downtown Disney to receive your actual pass. The passes do not go into effect until you turn in the "E" ticket. Woohoo...now I just have to save up enough for 3 one day tickets and I am set until I go in November! Love it!!Hope this info helps.
No! They are a form of creditDo you have to make all of the payments before you can start using it?
As in layaway?
Or are the installment payments a form of credit?
let me start as someone who is using this wonderful service. I am doing the payment plan now. My old pass expired on 7/12/10 and I didn't have the money to renew (was staying at WDW 7/12 thru 7/16/10) immediately so opted for the payment plan. The initial payment was equivilant to a one day's pass plus tax. Also they take out the first months payment also. You receive an e-mail confirming this and also a printable ticket to take to the parks to trade in for your annual passes. The start date of the pass is the date you take it to the park and obtain the regular pass. Monthly payments will be taken off of your credit/debit card automatically every month.
For those who have done this, please check my math for renewing a FL AP:
FL AP renewal w/6.5% tax 355.71
Downpayment=1-day ticket w/tx 84.14
Subtotal 271.57
Monthly payment 22.63
Payment at day of purchase:
Downpayment=1-day ticket w/tx 84.14
One month payment 22.63
Subtotal 106.77
I want to be sure this is correct before I do the math for the regular and DVC AP renewals.
Robyn if you go back up to post # 21 of this thread by Cheshire Figment & go to the ticket sticky post # 21 also it may help you....I don't think AP Renewals can be done with the payment plan
it also addresses DVC member ...check it out he's always spot on with info !
Ruthie
Thanks, Ruthie, I did check those posts. I know this is not available yet for the other types of APs...but one can hope.If it should be offered, I wanted to know what it might cost us monthly.
Well there you go right from the horses' mouth as they saythanks for telling us all this from personal experience, so you bought a NEW AP ? one more question..you still get the extra 3 months (which should end mid August promo right? )
