Florida Resident Ticket dilemma

My brother could go pick up the tickets so that would satisfy that requirement- once he picks them up will they be regular tickets? so there wouldn't be an issue at the gate?
Your brother would need to pick them up (with his valid Florida ID) and then be with his daughters the first time they use them.

When his daughters use their Florida Resident tickets for the first time, the accompanying adult will need to show valid Florida ID (unless the girls have their own, in the way of state ID cards or drivers licenses). So yes ... there will be an issue at the gate the FIRST time the girls use them. Once they've been activated that first time, the girls won't have any problems after that.

:earsboy:

(And to Robo and livndisney ... you're both pretty. ;) )

Why doesn't he just get state ID cards for them? Then when you go to pick them up, you can prove that the girls are Florida residents.

A guest's ID is very often checked at the front gate upon the FIRST USE of a resident AP.

The reason is, otherwise FL residents could purchase and pick up any number of tickets and then sell them to (or offer them to) non-FL resident family members or friends. That is against the FL resident ticket policy.

Will the ID of the adult bringing in the child using the AP for the first time be checked at the gate that day?

We don't know.

i just renewed mine this weekend and i wasnt asked, ive never acually been asked for an id at the turnstyle maybe its one of those sometimes they do it things?

Yup.

Guest ID's get checked for annual passes a lot and for many different reasons. Sometimes it is just dependent on which turnstile you go through and that CM may be checking closer that day. Often it has to do with biometric scans and it also depends on what level of "security" the turnstiles happen to be on when you go through. Security levels change randomly throughout the day and even the turnstile CM's do not know or, or told when, it is just something you can recognize after you work turnstiles for awhile.
