Does anyone know how far in advance the Florida resident rate for room-only comes out? I am planning a trip for Nov 2005 & the cm told us to call back every couple of weeks.

I wouldn't even expect them til late summer of 2005, they just came out for this year this past week.

They have FL room rates for NOV? How much do you know? Is there a code number? I have my rooms for NOV,,but its at the 89 dollar rate,,they said when rates come out to call back..Thanks for any info

Tink

Sorry about that .......the Fl resident rates did come out but they are only good until the end of Sept:confused: I too am waiting for later in the year, and from what I have read it maybe at the end of this month...........again I am sorry I , believe me when I tell you that I am blonde!!

No, they are only out through Sept 29th.

Booking in advance will only ensure that you have a room at the resort that you want at the rack rate. You can only apply a discount if there is availability (they only release a certain number rooms at a discount) .

Susy, we are headed over to the WL for 3 days in November, what's the best way to get the FL resident rate? Should we book now? How do I ensure that my room will get the rate (you mentioned that only a certain number of rooms will get the discount)?

Thanks! :)

Thanks! :)

A CM told me that the FL rate offers the most rooms than any of the other discounted rooms (general discount offer or AP rates). I have never had a problem getting a FL rate when they are being offered. The Thursday before Memorial Day I called to reserve a room on Memorial Day at CR (we had to upgrade daughters 4 play pass to a Seasonal pass, my favorite pass). They had availability. We ended up leaving on Sunday. I called that day on the way there and reserved PC for the FL rate. Also, it happened that my brother was there with his family taking them to BB. He decided to stay over. I called his cell and his wife said he was in ASsports checking in. I told her to stop him and for him to call CRO for a FL rate. He was able to do this from the lobby (CM actually gave him a phone to use) he was able to save about $40 for the one night.

So if they do offer a code during the time you want to go you shouldn't have any problem getting the discount.

Enjoy

Not Susy, but you can't ensure that you will get the code, you can only hope, also either be prepaired to change resorts or dates...say you wanted a Woods View but they may only have Courtyard view availiable with the discount...(still a great price)

In my opinion if you already have your reservations checking for availability goes faster. It can kill valuable time having to give the CM a list of who all will be in the room their ages ect. ect. ect...so thats why we wish each other good luck and send pixie dust to each other.:p

GOOD LUCK :wizard: PIXIE DUST :wizard:

PS The All-star/Pop have many more rooms then WL so more rooms would be avaiable at the value resorts. Rooms at WL and AKL go very quick as they are less expensive then the other deluxe resorts...especially over the week-end.

Magic in my Heart and DisneyWisher, thank's so much for your help! :)

Magic - I was under the impression that FL resident rates are "blanket" rates for all FL residents. As in, as long as you have FL id you can get the rates, there are no codes or or anything like with the AP codes, etc. Please correct me if I am wrong.

True you don't have to have an AP or even a Florida Resident Seasonal Pass...but you will have a code and when you call you have to request the code like an AP passholder does. The rate is available to all Florida Residents that know about it, and ask for it (like the AP codes) :p Mousesavers.com will probably have the code and rates posted before anyone else...then after a few day it will show up on the DisneyWorld web.site under Florida Residents link.

Magic, Thanks for the scoop! :) Stay dry and safe the next couple of days (with the impending hurricanes).

I also have never had a problem with getting a fla resident rate and thats why Im waiting also for the dec rates. we just went over 4th of july and decided to go up a day early and had no problem getting it at a fla resident rate. Guess you take your chances.

Oh, you stay dry and safe also, Bonnie looks like a little blow...but that Charlie might give us more rain then I want. With you being in the Tampa Bay area should get plenty of rain and wind...

I'm just south of Jacksonville in a small town Orange Park. But I too am a Native Floridian have been in, and worked though more hurricanes then I can even count. Living so close to the coast I have a great respect for evey storm. Stay safe.
