There have been no new Florida Resident rates for the past two weeks- we are hoping for FLA for October 3rd Wonder, should we be freaking out or is it just way too early?

If the ships are filling without offering FL Res rates then they have no reason to offer them....it may be too early or it may be that the ship is filling up fine on its own. Keep watching it but they don't always offer FL res rates on every cruise.

just checked out the oct 3 cruise every category from 3-12 is available. so there is a good possibility that you will get a fl rate.

They went through the end of August as of 2 weeks ago. I would anticipate October rates in mid July at the earliest if there is availability.

I called and asked, since we are on the Oct 16th cruise, and reservations said that marketing is concentrating on the med at the moment, and to keep checking back.He stated (They arent told anything until it happens) he would anticipate seeing them again for the Oct cruises

I want to say last year when we were on the August 4 day, that we got the Fl resident rate after the final payment had been made.If not it was close to it, and the ship was full.

Thanks for the replies- I also felt a little better yesterday when I noticed that main seating dining is still available I don't think they are anywhere close to selling it out!

We had paid final payment last year and released FLR for Oct it was Sept. I am still hoping for FLR for the PC but I don't think anything will happen until Oct/Nov

Does anyone know if you can still apply FLR rates released within 75 days of your sail date (cruise paid in full at this point)? This was allowable in 2009 but I'm not sure if this has changed.

Thanks!

I hope you have seen that FLR have been released for your sailing.....

I would like to know this as well!

Yes, you can change a regular booking to a FL resident rate booking after the paid in full date with no penalties.

I was able to do that in April for our Aug cruise & we were paid in full, but it was more than 75 days out. What about inside the 75 day mark?

As I answered, this is allowed AFTER the paid in full date with no penalties.

I don't think it is a set percentage but we saved almost 50% on our August 5NT this year.

What percentile does the florida rate typically save? Just curious.

There is no set percentage - in fact, I think it's different for every cruise (I could be wrong). I think it does depend on Cat - we were on the same cruise as PP (WeLuvDCL), and for a Cat 7, we saved ~60%.

Great! We are moving to Florida in July of next year and hopefully we will be able to take twice as many cruises now. Thanks for the info.
