Florida resident rates don't beat the best rate prices...

I just called to find out about Florida resident rates....

and I have a 4 night stay booked in Oct:

Pop Century - Best Rate $352.40
Florida Resident Rate $375.00
diff of $22.60

considered upgrading to Poly - using Best rate it would be $1222.00 and Fl resident rate $1267.00
diff of $45

and I have a 2 night stay booked in Dec:

Polynesian - Best Rate $521.84
Fl $633.00
$111.16 diff!!!!!


I also asked if they were lower would it automatically change my best rate...this cm said no you'd have to call back....doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of the program?

That is interesting. The one weekend we are staying at WDW during October was the weekend not covered by the Best Rate plan.

This IS something to keep in mind for the future.

Geesh! Wasn't that the point of the program??? I was thinking I wouldn't have to call and all would be adjusted. Well, time to start watching!
