My in-laws are wanting to take my DD to Disney this coming weekend but they just realized their Florida resident seasonal passes are blacked out for this coming weekend. I could of swore that I read some where that they lifted the black out dates???? I could be wrong but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this??? Thank you for all your help!!!

The current block out dates are Saturday March 27 through Friday April 9.

That is what is currently shown on the official Cast Member site.

I've seen them lift some of the blackout dates during the longer summer blackout period several years ago, maybe 3 or 4 years ago, but I haven't heard they've lifted them this year or remember seeing them lift the spring break blackout dates.

What I recall seeing is the block out dates for special rates being lifted. I haven't seen the dates for the resident passes change. I hope for your daughters sake that it does happen.

Here is some pixie dust for you.:wizard:pixiedust:

My guess you are thinking about them lifting the blackout dates for some of the promotions for booking the hotels. This has been everywhere on the boards over the last week or so.

To the best of my knowledge, there has been no info on lifting blackouts on seasonal passes.

In the last 4-5 years the only blackout dates I remember them lifting was 1 weekend around Easter when they had the promo weekend for Stitch- and then it was only for the MK. The other time was lifting them during the last week in August they were blacked out- If I were you I would make some alternate plans or plan on upgrading your pass.

Thank you everyone for your quick replies....my DD is not going to be happy!!! I guess she will have to wait to see "her castle" til our vacation in October...

It is $120 (plus tax) to upgrade an adult SP to a Florida Resident AP ($113 if renewal pass) and it also allows free parking if not staying onsite. And that gets rid of the blockout dates.
