We have cruised DCL 5 times since 1999 and have always gotten Fl res rates- (Columbus Day week 1999, Labor Day week 2000 & 2001, Memorial Day week 2002, and July 4th week 2003). We have booked a cruise over Easter 2005 at regular rates but wondered if in previous years if they offered Florida resident rates over Easter.

FL resident rates have become very few and far between. Cruise bookings are way up after having been depressed the past few years. We were hoping to book a 3-night cruise this summer on FL res rates, but have been told our chances are zero-to-none.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but since Easter is one of the busiest travel times (especially for Disney), I wouldn't count on any discounts. :(

I think it would be unlikely to get a FL res rate over Easter. Genrally, the rates are offered two to three months prior to the sailing if the ships are not more than a certain percentage full.

The was only one FL res special offered this summer and that is July 8th wonder. I know because I am going but it sold out very quickly.

They actually also came out with Florida resident rates for the month of June, but only for the 7 night cruises.
We've been so lucky over the last couple of years, but not this summer. Oh well, I'll still keep my fingers crossed that something comes out.

We did it one year over Easter -- it was my mom's spring break (teacher) and she begged us to go because my whole extended family was going from Michigan. There were no FL discounts that week and it was a little bit of sticker shock.
