Florida Passholders-BEWARE of "extras" on your ticket

Since this ticket wasa used during the blackout period it cannot be upgrade to a Seasonal Pass only a regular Annual pass, if you added a water park to it then it has to become a premium annual pass. These rules have been in place for years now.
This is completely contradictory to what I was told by the CM. I specifically said I was buying the 3 day because it fell in the blackout week but my MIL would not use all three days and would she be able to upgrade to a seasonal pass. I was assured that she could even if the start date fell on a blackout date. The whole water park thing had me concerned, and now you are staying that the CM was wrong from the begining. I think I'm going to call about this rather than waiting when she can go again to see if we are going to upgrade her pass.

If thats true, they closed down a relatively common loophole for seasonal passholders that wanted to use 3 days during the blackout period. It makes sense. You should have to upgrade to at least the level that gives you what you used on the 3 day trip. It can be confusing when a loophole you've used many years suddenly closes down.

I think every CM in a position to do ticket upgrades/sales should know the rules.

Good luck to the OP. I hope they make it right for you.

Update:
Finally heard back from the ticket manager. She went ahead and set it up so I could upgrade, but suggested that in the future, I ask ALL the questions I can possibly think of regarding upgrading to a seasonal, since they are changing the promotions/restrictions all the time. I am very happy with the service.
From now on though, I think I will just buy the damn pass to begin with!
