Florida newbie/ beach suggestions

Planning our first trip to Florida and going to WDW. We live in Arizona, so I want to do universal studios and the beach.
This may be the wrong forum.
After our WDW trip I want to spend a few days at the beach.... I don't know where to start. Any suggestions on a few of the best beaches would be great. ( best beaches would be less crowded!).... Looking at going early June and taking a 12&15 yr old.

When I went to Disney I took a day trip to Jetty Park, Port Canaveral. BEAUTIFUL beach! They have a campground there you can stay at with cabins and also there is a Hampton Inn next to campground that is awesome (believe it has a water park in hotel). I def recommend checking it out, it's not as touristy as Cocoa Beach. It took us about an hr to get here from Disney, on Atlantic Ocean side

If you are willing to do the drive, Tampa Bay is a must see. Clearwater Beach has lots of family activities and is beautiful. Winter from Dolphin Tale is right there to and there is lots of fun restaurants right on the beach. Its about an hour and a half drive but completely worth it.

I live in Cocoa Beach (South of Cape Canaveral) and do not recommend coming here with a 12 yr old during the summer. It is so very crowded on the beach during the summer that I just want to scream... Plus all of the drunks. Around 4-5pm on a summer weekend I start to hear the sirens from the firetrucks and police cars.

Now is a good time to visit except it is a little bit chilly for the beach.
