How would we get from our Disney resort to the Florida Mall without a rental car? What are the options/costs? How long is the ride? And then how to get back to our resort?

I saw there was a public bus we could grab at DTD, but then read that the route has been discontinued.

If you don't want to spend 4 hours or so, round trip, You could take a cab: http://www.taxifarefinder.com/main.php?city=Orlando

I didn't check, but I would imagine that the cab will probably run you about $100 round trip, which would be more expensive than renting a car for the day.

WOW! Those prices & times are very discouraging. Looks like we're not gonna get to go check out the new American Girl store that's supposedly coming later this year.

I wonder if companies like Mears offer anything better than those public bus timetables or those approximate taxi prices.

And a rental car is out - it would just be DD5 and me - and I don't drive.
