We had the best time on our Holiday last week.

This was by far the best time we have had in Orlando.

We went to Discovery Cove - this is a must - I totally enjoyed this. We also bought the video and have watched it over and over again.

We also dined with Shamu which was really lovely - although very expensive.

I will look on the net for cheap flights for my next trip!!!!!!

I'm beginning to think Orlando is a legal drug! Everyone who goes, even if not that keen, seems to love it and then start planning the next trip immediately :)

We're also going to Discovery Cove in May - largely due to posts on these boards. Don't think we'll be dining with the whale this time though - just swimming with a dolphin. Actually, in my case, that's being 'dragged around' by the dolphin ;) I swim like a brick! Testing out the dolphins saving the drowning myth :) :)

Would love to hear about your dining with Shamu experience :D

I really enjoyed the dining with Shamu. You arrive at 5.15 for your dinner and about 20 minutes later the trainers are talking to you about how they train the whales. We had the mum with the 6 month old baby and the mum's older whale. They do some tricks etc.

The baby was trying to do the tricks his mum was doing - apparently he has only just started to do this.

It was very special - my 10 yr old DD thought it was one of the highlights of the holiday.

The food is good and apparently they vary it. It is fairly expensive though - on my credit card it came to about £60 = 89 dollars I think it was. That was for 3 of us - but then again the food was good so realistically it is not that bad a price.

The only thing is that, I think they rush you through as they have the Shamu Rocks America show later. The whole experience is about 1 hour. My daughter would do it again no problem.

If you go to this do not forget your camera as you are very close and we got some really good photos and you do not get wet like in the shows!

I don't know if you can book this on the net - we booked when we arrived - but obviously you risk not getting a table (tables are limited).
