What month does it start getting REALLY hot in Orlando? May, June, July? I want it warm enough to enjoy the waterparks but not so hot you can't stand to be out. Any suggestions?

In my opinion, May, June, AND July are all super hot in Florida. Hot enough that you'll be uncomfortable outside (80s-90s). I'd say late March - early April is hot enough to go to the waterparks, but its not quite intolerable heat yet.

I concur...it starts getting REALLY hot in May so all summer it is HOT HOT HOT!

The last 2 years we spent the first 7 or 8 days of May in DW.
It was never toooo hot for me.
In fact, the days we went to a waterpark at opening (10:00 a.m.) we were cold.
Last May, once the sun went down, we needed pants & jackets.

:sunny: :sunny: I live on the Gulf Coast of FL and I can tell you summer is in full swing by Memorial Day. June is really bad and July is just intolerable. I would avoid theme parks in FL at all costs during the month of July (some will disagree with me). If you can swing an early May trip that would be your best bet. :sunny: :sunny:

Most of the year is so HOT!! I would say that even in April through early Oct it is pretty hot and summer is just crazy... I hate Florida... I want snow ;)

Better check the thermometer again ;) , its 2 degrees outside right now, with a wind chill of -11! I could take some Florida heat right now! :sunny:

-6 here in Minnesota. We went to WDW in August and I was miserable in the drippy heat, but it sounds pretty good right now  !

You generally need to have an air conditioner running from April to October. There might be hot days outside of that but they don't last long.

Early part of May is usually still pretty good........into June, July, August and September the humidity is getting miserable! Later in October the weather starts getting beautiful again! But defineately stay away during July and August not only for the heat and humidity but also the crowds. Instead of hibernating all winter in Wisconsin I now hibernate most of the summer in FL :sunny:

As others have said, May will be hot, but not as hot as June or July. If those are your 3 choices, definitely go for May.

3rd and 4th week of May thru 1st and 2nd week of October are HOT!!
Mid June thru August are simply put INTOLERABLE. These months I barely go to the parks in Florida , I'll hit up a waterpark or take a 1 or 2 week trip to parks outside Florida, two years ago I was at Cedar Point in Ohio early june and the temperature at night was 47 and went up to 65 in the daytime. I couldn't believe the difference from 90's in Florida.
