OK, now that the weather here is turning chilly, I am Florida dreaming. If you could live anywhere in Florida, where would you choose and why?

Good question... it was cold and rainy today and I couldn't help but dream of WDW. I think no matter where I'd stay, I'd want to be within an hour or two drives of WDW. I couldn't imagine going down there to live and not being close to it at all. That's just me though because WDW would be the only thing that could bring me to live there.

I would love Celebration but I dont think I could afford it so the next best thing would be Kissimee (sp)

Lets see...Dad lives in Boynton Beach (3 hrs from Disney) mom lives in Panama City (7-8 hrs from Disney) so when I start Florida dreamin I go visit the family!!!

I'll probably be moving to Orlando soon, but I think I will miss a few things about this area... the water, particularly. The weather seems to be nicer here too. I can always smell the beach here, and the air is a bit more stagnant over in Orlando.

Are there any more Forida dreamers? If you live in Florida, where would you recommend a newcomer settle?

I live in Florida, but if I was actually dreaming, I would live in Naples. I love the water there and have a real good friend from college that lives in that area.

But here has its advantages too...like Disney 10 minutes away.

Although I think Celebration would be great, I need to be closer to the beach! Id probably say some small west coast beach town that is not extremely far away from Disney!
Princess Michelle, just wonderingwhere would you rather live?

Now that the weather has turned cold here in NJ,I cant think of anything but the Florida weather we were enjoying less than 2 weeks ago! We all got sick when we came home to this cold weather. Its depressing!

Allicat, I would love to live up north, just about anywhere that it's cooler than here. This heat is about to kill me. See ya'll complain about the cold, we complain about the heat. Nobody is ever happy. LOL

PM, count me as one who doesn't complain about the heat! (well not seriously)

You have lived here all your life, right? I think it's good for people to move away for a time. You never know... you might learn to love it here and want to come back.

I personally think I'm addicted to change. Now I'm moving to Orlando, and I wonder how long it will take me to want to move again. :o

Yes, Jen, I have lived here my whole life and you are right, I am just tired of Florida and would love to just be somewhere different for awhile. I really do hate the heat though! LOL

Princess Michelle would love to live in E. TN. next door to me so I could serenade her with Beach Boy tunes.:p Oh, tell the truth, P. Michelle, you know you are about to sneak out their Christmas CD so you can listen to "Little St. Nick"!!:p

I'd pick Celebration... but I may not be informed enough and may think it would be nicer than reality. Maybe I'd move next door to P. Michelle.  :p

In the apartment in Cinderella Castle..LOL

Have a Disney Day!

Brenda, Brenda, Brenda, it's bad enough that my boss was walking down the hall the other day singing "She'll have fun, fun, fun till her Daddy takes her t-bird away" and his assistant has the Beach Boys greatest hits in her office.

I think I might like living in TN but I know I would love living next to you! If you get too rowdy with those BB tunes I'll just call the cops. ;)

I've been thinking a lot about this lately, because enjoying that weather last week and then coming back to THIS was so jolting! I don't know Florida well, so I can't pick a particular place, but after 8 years on the east coast, I think it might finally be time to head home (back to the south).

And, yep, in order to fully appreciate a place, you have to leave it for a while. :)

LOL Buck, I would love to see the look on Michelle's face when you start serenading her. LOL, that would be a priceless picture. :)

Probably Winter Haven area. Lots of lakes, not far from Disney, not far from my friends in Tampa, and not too far to drive to the beach. My idea of heaven.
