Florida Ambulance Use

HI everyone! We returned from a Disney vacation in mid June and unfortunately we had to call 911 one day when my son fell and cut his head on the nightstand at POP Century. The paramedics came and took us to the hospital (Celebration) via ambulance. Well, I have yet to receive a bill for this service. The hospital bill has been paid by the insurance and I paid our portion already. It seems like I would have received a bill for the ambulance ride by now don't you think? I was wondering if any of you Florida residents might know if the service is free or what? Could Disney have paid the bill for us? If so I would like to send a letter of appreciation. How could I find this out? Thanks!

For some reason I think I read somewhere once that if you need an ambulance on Disney Property it is free or "complimentary". You could always call WDW and see what they say, an inquiry because your trying to make sure all the bills are taken care of, etc.

Hi, babby!

You won't be getting a bill for the ambulance or paramedic services as that is something that Disney doesn't charge for. I found this out after taking a nasty fall and suffering a concussion. I guess on the ride to the Celebration hospital, I was fretting about paying for the ambulance and asked them if they took credit cards (I have no memory of this, but my spouse who was riding along said it made everyone laugh)(smile) and the paramedic said that the ambulance was "on Mickey."

I passed out in May there. They took me by ambulance and I didnt get a bill either. So, no worries

How nice!! Thanks everyone for the responses. Joshua is definately feeling better. Now we found out he is allergic to peanuts!! Oh well, that's life I guess!
