I just got home from a wedding and got some great ideas-

Head tables 2 long pushed together in the center of the room so bridesmaids and groomsmen faced eachother and b&G next to each other and the head. they had vases all the way down and put the maids bouquets in them for the center pieces and the brides into the center-

They used 2 wine corks tied with sheer ribbon as place card holders- they are going to Italy on their honeymoon and each card said Destination (rather than table) Turin or some other place in Italy that they would be visiting on their honeymoon.

The reception was in St. Louis at the Laclede Gas Building 30th Floor in the Lawyers Club and you could see the Arch, the river and look right into the new stadium and see the cardinal game.

I like that idea for the head table! I've been in several weddings and it was always done the traditional way so I could only talk to the person on my left and on my right!

For our at-home reception DBF wants to have table themes of places we've visited with photos/trinkets...whatever we can find. I thought it was a great idea.
