Flora and Ulysses

Has anyone else seen the movie? I watched it last week and thought it was pretty good. The girl who played Flora was great.

I mostly watched it. It felt a bit drawn out towards the end but overall I enjoyed it. I wasn’t expecting anything but was surprised with it. There was a couple “Did they just do that?” moments. Some of the material would just goes over kids’ heads. Like her “Jack and Rose”. The blind kid was a “what?” moment. Lol.

And I had to laugh when Disney threw in a lot of references from their repertoire. Like Marvel. Which really fits the story. But then the Star Wars door bell got me. Also, it had a lot of 2000’s sitcom actors that some people would enjoy. The girl did do a good job. I would watch it again.

We watched last night and were surprised how good it was. My wife and I laughed a lot - just so many little jokes. While it probably wasn't THAT funny, for some reason the scene with the Jack and Rose doll where the doll broke and Jack sunk while Rose was floating on a piece of wood - holy crap - we actually lost it - we were laughing so hard I was crying. I think we were just kind of surprised by it, it was very funny, but then just got away from us. The kids were asking us why we were laughing so much, but didn't explain it. There were a lot of little jokes like that, but that one was really good.

It was also kind of amusing, not that we watch it that much, that there were the 4 main new Duck Tales actors. They even threw in a joke about that at the beginning when Bobby Moynihan was reading a Duck Tales comic. The Imperial March doorbell was really good. I also didn't even catch it but my wife pointed out that the doorbell itself was Captain America. A lot of good stuff like that.
