I am speechless. THe person went to Linens n things for a THIRD shopping spree, then bought subway passed 4 times and bought gas!!!!
 
WOW! What reason did they give you for such a foul-up? Sorry this is happening to you, how frustrating!
 
Maybe the security department is trying to catch the person in the act??

Waiting to talk to a manager. The person on the phone just said "I don't show that card being invalidated"!!!!!! WHAT?!?!?!

When I reported it was stolen I was told it was being invalidated.

This happened to me and it took 1 hour once.

Oh, I know, but still very frustrating.

Ok, here's what happened: These charges were made the day I reported it stolen but showed up the next day. SO they DID invalidate it immediately...the manager was very nice and knew what he was talking about...unlike the rep.
 
Don't forget - it's THEIR problem not yours.
 
Adding it up: These people spent close to $1000 in Linens n THings. Guess they have better sheets than me now!!!!
 
i'll do you one better-we reported a stolen discover card once. rep sez "no problem, we'll issue you a new one under a new account number". they LINKED to old card to the new card, so the "theif" went in and by virtue of having the old card racked up more charges on the new card!. we ended up having to do 2 separate dispute processes that took over a year to resolve (in our favor). we DO NOT deal with discover any more!
