Flip Video pricing

Hi there,

I am confused. Last year I purchased a Flip video for myself. I really thought that I paid around $79 or so for it. I can't seem to find any for less than $129. Have prices gone up that much? Am I just remembering things wrong? Is this a completely different camera?

I would like to get one for my DS 11. Does anyone know where to get one at a reasonable price or is there a camera that works as well (simple) for a better price?

Are you comparing the same unit; mino vs ultra; 60min vs 120, HD or not?

I think you may have the price wrong, or you got a great deal!
In May I bought My husband one for his birthday at costco for $179 or 199.
Of course withing a few days they came out with a better for version for the same price, so he returned it and got the new one.
There are threads here about some specials, you may want to do a search and see what you can find.
I am one of the people who tried to get in on 6pm.com's Black Friday price of 49.95, but my order still hasn't processed.

It depends on what you got last year. At the beginning of the year, I got a refurbished 30 minute Flip camcorder (original model) from Woot for around $60-70 (for my DD) However, the brand-new 60 minute one I got myself the year before was more in the range of $120-$140.

I'm looking this year too. There's the Mino -60min and 120min, Ultra 60min and 120min, and the Ultra HD 60min and 120 mins, plus tons of different colors and trims. Each is priced accordingly, thus the confusion. It's just not 1 product. Flip is the brand name.

Do they still offer the 30 min. Couldn't find it.

What's the difference between Mino and Ultra?

I found a Sharper Image U-Video on Bed Bath and Beyond for $50. Anyone know anything about this.

I haven't seen the 30 minute, but I bought the 120 white flip ultra for 89.99 with free shipping at bhphotovideo.com.
